South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended his warmest greetings and congratulations to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine on the occasion of Ukraine’s 35th Independence Day, celebrated on 24 August 2026.
In a message addressed to President Zelenskyy, President Ramaphosa conveyed his best wishes for Ukraine and reaffirmed South Africa’s desire to further enhance and consolidate the good bilateral relations between the two countries.
“On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of Independence Day … we join in conveying to Your Excellency, to the Government and people of Ukraine, our warmest greetings and sincere congratulations,” President Ramaphosa stated.
