Agri­cul­ture plays an impor­tant role in Ukrain­ian econ­o­my.  Ukraine takes the third place in the world in the corn export and fifth place in the wheat export.

The total land area of Ukraine is 60 mil­lion hectares and about 42 mil­lion hectares belong to the agri­cul­tur­al land with the gar­dens, cul­ti­vat­ed land, vine­yards and pas­tures.

Ukraine owns 32 mil­lion hectares of black soil which con­sti­tute the third part of the Europe’s arable lands.

Ukraine is an impor­tant play­er on the glob­al dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies mar­ket. Ukraine is well known by its high­ly qual­i­fied IT spe­cial­ists and is open to soft­ware devel­op­ment, estab­lish­ment of R&D cen­ters, e-
com­merce, and star­tups.

Ukraine ranks first glob­al­ly by the num­ber of Unity3D game devel­op­ers and C++ engi­neers, and sec­ond when it comes to JavaScript, Scala, and Magen­to devel­op­ers. Annu­al­ly the high­er edu­ca­tion estab­lish­ments grad­u­ate about 16,000 IT spe­cial­ists.

The bulk of the country’s IT spe­cial­ists, 40%, work in Kyiv, 19% in Kharkiv, 16% in Lviv, 7% in Dnipropetro­vsk and 4% in Ode­sa.
