We believe the literature has a special way to communicate the history and culture and current challenges that countries and people there are going through. We believe that both sides would learn a lot from one another. We see our role as facilitating initial introduction between literature centres in both countries that would allow to learn about particularities and commonalities that would be mutually beneficial.

We have already facilitated participation of Ukrainian poets in Poetry Africa Festival 2017 and 2018, as well as organized a number of other events with Ukrainian poets and writers. We would like to establish a programme that would allow poets and writers from each countries to visit one another where both sides would host their counterparts. We do need funding to cover or subsidize travel expenses.
