The Ukrainian Association of South Africa (UAZA), was honoured to partner in the webinar addressing the growing risks to nuclear safety and security in contemporary armed conflicts.
The webinar provided critical insights into the evolving nature of nuclear risks, including the unprecedented challenges posed by attacks on nuclear facilities such as the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. A leading experts and practitioners explored whether Africa can play a leading role in strengthening the regulations to enhance the nuclear safety and security globally? Among the experts is Dzvinka Kachur (Fellow Researcher, Centre for Sustainability Transitions, Stellenbosch University and Honorary President of UAZA)
