Agriculture plays an important role in Ukrainian economy.  Ukraine takes the third place in the world in the corn export and fifth place in the wheat export.

The total land area of Ukraine is 60 million hectares and about 42 million hectares belong to the agricultural land with the gardens, cultivated land, vineyards and pastures.

Ukraine owns 32 million hectares of black soil which constitute the third part of the Europe’s arable lands.

Ukraine is an important player on the global digital technologies market. Ukraine is well known by its highly qualified IT specialists and is open to software development, establishment of R&D centers, e-
commerce, and startups.

Ukraine ranks first globally by the number of Unity3D game developers and C++ engineers, and second when it comes to JavaScript, Scala, and Magento developers. Annually the higher education establishments graduate about 16,000 IT specialists.

The bulk of the country’s IT specialists, 40%, work in Kyiv, 19% in Kharkiv, 16% in Lviv, 7% in Dnipropetrovsk and 4% in Odesa.
